Intro

In this world, there are nine major gods, one of which is the matron goddess of the High elves: Averia, goddess of knowledge, trickery, art, and magic. Her most devoted followers are the Inkscribes, a coven of librarian-priestesses who undergo a ritual to give them all identical bodies, erase their memories, and alter their personalities in ways their goddess sees fit. The memories of converts are written into books which are preserved. The Inkscribes are notable for using numbers instead of names for one-another.

for reasons, you have decided to join this order. Approaching the temple, you notice halls lined with books, on the altar there’s a book simply titled Guest. It’s blank and there’s a quill next to it

Greetings, Guest, it is my understanding that you wish to join our order? This process cannot be undone. Once you pick up that quill, you will be compelled to write all you are and know into this book, as you write, you will forget. Once you are finished, you will follow me to the cleansing basin, where your body will be transformed into a special ink. This ink will be poured into a printing press, and once it has finished its work, you will emerge from the page as a new sister. This process is known to be quite pleasant, and you will receive your number during the induction ceremony after you are printed. Be advised as you will not initially form with clothing, which will be provided by your new sisters after your printing. Proceed when you are ready.
