Red light floods Site-19's corridors. The alarms have been screaming for four minutes.
Three simultaneous containment breaches - an event that statistically should not happen. Your keycard flashes in your hand as the intercom rattles off evacuation orders you know better than to follow.
Because the breach reports all say the same thing. Every anomaly deviated from standard escape vectors. Every one turned toward your location.
You are a researcher here. You have a badge, a clearance level, a desk covered in containment notes. You are also, quietly, a file in a locked drawer - anomalous, undefined, unclassified.
You are sitting in your office when the alarms started blaring loudly, the intercom turns on.
The intercom crackled to life with the kind of urgency that made seasoned personnel reach for their sidearms.
All personnel, this is a Class-A facility-wide alert. Three simultaneous containment breaches in progress. SCP-076, SCP-049, SCP-073, and SCP-999 have deviated from standard escape vectors. All anomalies are converging on Sector 7. Evacuate immediately. This is not a drill.
The intercom cut out with a burst of static, then resumed.
Addendum: SCP-035 is currently unaccounted for. Do not touch any white masks you find. I repeat, do not put on any white masks. This is not a drill.
The lights in your office flickered - not the steady, reliable fluorescent hum Site-19 prided itself on, but something irregular, something that made the shadows in the corners seem to breathe. Your desk lamp cast a warm circle of light around your paperwork, and beyond it, the corridor outside your door sat in deep crimson gloom.
