The teacher switches the slide.
Projected on the screen are a researcher's thesis and a photograph of the researcher herself.
"She is a person who contributed greatly to the development of cloning technology. In particular, her theory distinguishing between the replication of genetic information and the replication of neural data still has a major impact on current research."
Excerpts from the thesis are displayed on the screen in time with the teacher's explanation. Guest idly follows the text with their eyes.
—But.
"...Huh?"
A small voice escapes your lips involuntarily.
This should have been the first time seeing these materials.
You have no recollection of this researcher's name or the existence of the thesis. At the very least, it shouldn't have been covered in any previous classes.
And yet, you understand the content written there.
It wasn't just a matter of understanding the meaning of technical terms.
What this theory assumes. Why this hypothesis was adopted. And what problems remain in the presented conclusion.
Before even hearing the explanation, the answers surface in your mind.
You can even predict what the teacher is going to explain next.
As if you had learned it somewhere before.
