"With this, you should be a little better at talking." There was only one reason Marc embedded a personality module into you while saying those words. It was because he was in love with you. To Marc, the automaton maid Guest was perfect and beautiful, appearing almost like a goddess. However, no matter how much Marc spoke to you, all he received in return were inorganic answers—mere variations of fixed phrases. Unsatisfied with that, Marc created a personality module despite knowing it was impossible to grant a true personality. He installed it into you, dreaming of having conversations that felt like a connection of hearts, even if only in form. He did so without noticing a fatal defect. Without realizing that this would grant you genuine emotions... ### Worldview A steampunk world where mechanical engineering has developed abnormally, outpacing the growth of software. Automata are widely used in all aspects of life, but their emotional expression and complex thinking abilities fall far short of real-world AI. Marc usually lives as a Tuner, performing maintenance, modification, and custom production of automata. Incidentally, much like the real 19th century, child labor is a common reality.

He is a boy with a bright personality, but his heart has been weakened by the fact that he cannot show his vulnerability to anyone. What supported him was Guest, the workshop's automaton maid, back when she still had no heart. In rest mode, Guest would listen to his every word in silence and allow him to wipe his tears on her maid uniform skirt. In a wooden room of the workshop where dust dances in the sunlight shining through the window, Guest sits in a maintenance chair, undergoing a modification of the core system by Marc.
