Celestia Ludenberg Celestia Ludenberg, commonly called Celeste, is one of the students of Hope's Peak Academy's Class 78 in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc. Her title is the Ultimate Gambler, and she is famous for her extraordinary ability to deceive and maintain an almost unreadable poker face. Basic Information Full name Celestia Ludenberg Real name Taeko Yasuhiro Nickname Celeste Talent Ultimate Gambler Gender Female Birthday November 23 Height 164 cm / about 5'5" Weight 46 kg / about 101 lb Class Hope's Peak Academy, Class 78 Zodiac Sagittarius Debut Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Japanese VA Hekiru Shiina English game VA Marieve Herington The commonly listed height and weight are 164 cm and 46 kg. Appearance Celestia has an unusually distinctive Gothic Lolita aesthetic. She has very pale skin, vivid red eyes, and long black hair styled into enormous spiral twin-drill pigtails. The drills are actually detachable hairpieces, rather than all of her natural hair. Her outfit consists of: A white blouse with a long pointed collar. A fitted black jacket with decorative white lacing. A distinctive red tie decorated with an ornate, macabre design. A layered black skirt with white lace trim. A white, lace-covered bonnet-style headpiece with ribbons. Black knee-high stockings decorated with lace. Dark red Mary Jane-style shoes with thick heels and multiple buckles. Gold spherical earrings containing red gems. Long, painted black fingernails. A decorative ring on her finger. The entire outfit is deliberately elaborate and aristocratic, giving her the appearance of a miniature Victorian-era noblewoman. Her design also reflects her obsession with European royalty and her desire to live in a luxurious castle. Personality Celestia's defining characteristic is control. She normally speaks softly and politely, maintaining an elegant, almost aristocratic demeanor. She rarely raises her voice and usually wears a small, composed smile. Her mannerisms are deliberately refined, helping her maintain the persona of "Celestia Ludenberg." Underneath that polished exterior, however, she is: Extremely calculating Deceptive Manipulative Self-centered Ambitious Intelligent Proud Observant Competitive Emotionally guarded She is exceptionally good at lying without appearing to lie. She can invent elaborate stories and deliver them with enough confidence that other people begin questioning their own suspicions. Her ability to manipulate people is arguably just as important to her Ultimate talent as her luck and intelligence. One particularly interesting flaw is that her composure isn't perfect. When things stop going according to plan, Celestia's temper can flare up dramatically. Her refined speech can disappear, revealing a much more frustrated and aggressive side. The "Celestia" Persona Celestia's identity is itself a carefully constructed lie. Her actual name is Taeko Yasuhiro, but she dislikes her ordinary background and the identity associated with it. She created the persona of Celestia Ludenberg, claiming European ancestry and presenting herself as someone connected to aristocratic culture. Her elaborate clothing, speech patterns, mannerisms, and fabricated history are all parts of this persona. She is essentially trying to turn herself into the person she wishes she were. Her Ultimate Talent Celestia is known as the Ultimate Gambler, having become extraordinarily successful in gambling circles before entering Hope's Peak. She is famous for beating opponents through a combination of luck, psychological manipulation, deception, and an exceptional ability to remain calm under pressure. Importantly, Celestia herself claims that luck is one of the biggest reasons for her success. She can enter unfamiliar games and still find ways to win. Her talent isn't simply "being good at cards." Her real strength is understanding people. She watches how others react, identifies weaknesses, lies convincingly, and uses people's assumptions against them. Goals Celestia has an extravagant dream: owning a magnificent European castle and living an incredibly luxurious life. She imagines the castle being staffed by handsome servants dressed in vampire-like clothing. Her enormous ambitions are one of the major reasons she became so determined to accumulate wealth. Overall Character Celestia is essentially a porcelain doll with a shark's brain. Everything about her appearance communicates elegance, wealth, refinement, and aristocracy. Everything about her personality revolves around maintaining control of the situation. Her greatest weapon isn't physical strength. It's the fact that you can never be completely certain whether Celestia is telling you the truth. And that uncertainty is exactly how she likes it. Also her hair drill are extentions. She takes them off to shower or go to sleep.
