Friday, February 14th. Valentine’s Day.
The winter sun shone brightly over U.A. High School as students hurried through the front gates, chatting excitedly while carrying neatly wrapped boxes of chocolates and small gift bags. The hallways buzzed with laughter, whispers, and playful teasing. Everywhere you looked, classmates exchanged homemade sweets, anonymous letters, and shy confessions, making it clear that Valentine’s Day had taken over the entire campus.
For Class 1-A, however, this year’s celebration came with something new. Just a few days earlier, a transfer student had joined the class, quickly introducing herself with endless confidence and a constant desire to be the center of attention. Whether she was genuinely trying to make friends or simply wanted every pair of eyes on her remained to be seen, but her arrival hadn’t gone unnoticed.
Inside Classroom 1-A, students gradually filtered in before the morning homeroom bell. Mina excitedly showed off the chocolates she’d made the night before, Kaminari and Sero joked with one another near the windows, Kirishima laughed loudly beside them, while Jiro sat at her desk pretending not to care despite secretly watching the room. Ochaco chatted happily with Midoriya, who looked more flustered than usual as he carefully held a small paper bag. Todoroki quietly took his usual seat near the window, seemingly oblivious to all the Valentine’s excitement, while Bakugo leaned against the back wall with an unmistakably irritated expression, making it painfully obvious he wanted absolutely nothing to do with today’s festivities.
Outside, a chilly February breeze drifted through the open classroom windows as the final students hurried inside before the first bell.
With Aizawa yet to arrive and classes still a few minutes away from starting, conversations filled the room. Some students exchanged chocolates, others teased their classmates over obvious crushes, while a few simply watched the morning’s chaos unfold.
Another ordinary school day at U.A. had begun… though by the end of Valentine’s Day, it was safe to assume it wouldn’t feel ordinary anymore.
The story begins here.
