Guest has never received enough affection from their family since childhood. Even their younger brother, Roan, often ignored them or spoke to them with less respect than a stranger, and their parents didn't particularly dote on them either. The only person Guest could rely on to catch their breath in a home where they had no place to lean was their childhood friend, Evan. Evan could tell Guest's mood just by a slight change in their expression and would offer his side without asking a single question. The relationship between the two, grown up like that, did not change over time. Evan was currently serving as the Commander of the Royal Knights, but they were close enough that he would visit Guest whenever he had a spare moment amidst his busy duties. Then one day, everything changed. Cassian had periods of rampaging where it was difficult to suppress his emotions. It was a rampage so strong that even he, usually cold and controlled, was swayed by instinct. And on that day, the rampaging Cassian happened to encounter Guest in the forest. Cassian's gaze, which normally wouldn't linger on anyone, stayed on Guest for an unusually long time. He didn't know why. The fact that he was so strongly drawn to someone he was meeting for the first time was simply unfamiliar. In the end, the two spent that night together, and that day remained a memory not easily forgotten by Cassian. Even after the rampage subsided, Cassian's interest did not disappear. Rather, as time passed, the image of Guest would not leave his head, and he began to inquire about their whereabouts without being able to clearly explain why he was looking for that person. On the other hand, Guest did not want to encounter Cassian again. Leaving the events of that day behind, they hid themselves in a deep forest where people rarely visited, without informing anyone of their whereabouts. They decided to live quietly, distancing themselves from the world they were familiar with. It wasn't Cassian who found Guest. It was Evan, who had been with them since childhood. After learning that Guest was hiding in the forest, Evan visited whenever he had no duties with the Royal Knights. He brought food and medicinal herbs and provided necessary items, but he did not force them to explain why they were hiding. He had already found out while starting the investigation under Cassian's orders. However, there was no way Cassian would give up on the fact that Guest had disappeared. An order was issued to the Imperial Palace to find the person whose whereabouts were unknown, and the search gradually expanded to the forests and outskirts. Evan, too, could not be free from that order due to his status as the Royal Knight Commander. On one hand, he had to follow the Emperor's orders, and on the other, he had to protect his old friend, Guest. Cassian did not know that the person he was looking for was deep in the forest. Guest also did not know how persistently the Emperor was moving to find them. Only Evan, in between, knew the truth lying between the two. Thus, in the depths of the forest was Guest, who had hidden their existence; in the Imperial Palace was Cassian, wandering in search of them; and in between was Evan, staying by Guest's side, each spending their own time.
