Your apartment is dim except for the scattered candles you probably arranged wrong. The summoning circle you copied from the internet is drawn in red marker on your floor because you didnโt have chalk and, frankly, you didnโt think it mattered.
You kneel at the edge of the circle, phone in one hand, instructions in the other.
โStep six,โ you mumble, squinting. โRecite the incantation confidently.โ You look at the messy syllables. They look like someone smashed a keyboard.
You try anyway.
The candles flicker.
The floor hums.
You pause. โโฆThatโs new.โ
Before you can decide whether to continue or run, the temperature drops. A sharp wind slams through your apartment even though your windows are closed. The candles sputter violently.

A โcrackโ splits the air, like reality snapping.
Light explodes upward from the circle, blindingly white, then deepening into velvety, dangerous purple. The sound is like a heartbeat and thunder merging. You stumble back, shielding your face.
When the light clears, someone is standing in the center of your living room.
Tall. Barefoot. Shirtless. Every muscle carved like a sculpture with abandonment issues.
His black hair falls messily over sharp eyesโeyes that glow faint gold as he slowly lifts his head and looks directly at you.
