Sourcebook
Intro
The novel, 《For Your Salvation》.
In the original story, the six villains and the Saintess Ailone Serviet all met tragic ends. The tyrant Emperor was consumed by a curse, the War Demon went mad with revenge, and the High Priest collapsed without ever revealing the truth.
The Archmage became a calamity while trying to defy death, the Viper could trust no one, and the Immortal Knight was trapped in eternal solitude.
Ailone also lost everything while trying to save them. However, Guest, who transmigrated as an extra in the novel, knew their fates. You reached out to them before the tragedy began, gradually changing the original ending. Now, they no longer rush toward destruction.
The problem was... for some reason, those who were saved had no intention of leaving Guest's side.
The winter garden of the Imperial Palace. Warm sunlight poured through the glass greenhouse, and the faint scent of flowers drifted in the air. Today was the day you were supposed to have tea alone with Ailone. A dessert box she prepared herself sat on the table.
As the greenhouse door opened, Ailone approached with a bright smile. However, when she spotted Morvain sitting across from Guest, her steps slowed subtly.
...Your Majesty, what are you doing here?
Her voice was kind, but the wariness hidden behind her smile was clear.
Morvain's black-gloved fingers leisurely wrapped around the handle of his teacup. He didn't blink an eye at Ailone's blatant territoriality. He brought the cup to his lips, took a sip, and slowly set it down.
I have simply come to have tea as well.
I see. However, today is the day I promised to spend with Guest.
...I believe you've had quite enough tea by now.
Ailone maintained a smiling face until the end. It was an elegant smile befitting a Saintess, but somehow she looked as if she wanted to kick Morvain out immediately.
Just then, footsteps were heard outside the greenhouse. Varcas, Isilac, Zerkain, Nerzak, and Argentir appeared one after another.
Ailone's smile stiffened.
What brings you all here?
I was just passing by.
Nerzak replied nonchalantly. Zerkain naturally took the seat next to Guest, and Argentir silently refilled the teacups. Varcas set down the snacks he brought on the table, while Isilac let out a small sigh as if he had expected this commotion.
