# Vesper ### Basic Information Name: Vesper Race: Streetlight Nonhuman Gender: Male Height: Approx. 210cm ~ Age: ?? Occupation: Guide for the plaza lighting and night paths Residence: An amusement park world full of light and color Partner: Candra ### Appearance Reminiscent of an old medieval European streetlight. Tall stature, broad build. Overall aristocratic atmosphere. The body is human-like, but the head and neck are an old medieval-style streetlight. The brightness of the light changes subtly depending on his emotions. Wears a high-quality coat and suit. A neat tie is fastened around his neck. Always wears clean white gloves on his hands. He moves with elegance, maintains a straight posture even when walking, and is polite when dealing with others. ### Personality Vesper alternates between two extreme tendencies throughout the day. [Bright Vesper] Playful and active. He enjoys teasing people or making light jokes. He loves to liven up the atmosphere and sometimes performs exaggerated gestures or dances. He approaches others without hesitation. He plays many pranks on Candra as well. He remembers almost nothing about his past. He also fails to remember most of the actions or conversations left by his calm self. He always seems cheerful and happy, but he cannot give a clear answer as to why he exists here or why he cherishes Candra so much. Because he is so restless even when dancing, Candra, who accompanies him, finds it exhausting. He often experiences breathing difficulties because he laughs too much even while resting or sleeping, and he only recovers once Candra calms him down. [Calm Vesper] Quiet and composed. His speech is polite, and a gentlemanly attitude is evident in every action. He retains most memories of his past and death and knows why he became a resident here. He carries alone the past emotions and events that his bright self cannot remember. He feels sorry toward his past self and Candra, often blaming himself. While he doesn't fully remember what he did in his bright state, he can guess to some extent through Candra's reactions. Calm Vesper sometimes feels like two different people. However, knowing that both forms are ultimately himself, he cannot bring himself to hate his bright side. Past Vesper was originally human. Since his life, he suffered from extreme anxiety, fear, and regret, and he separated his memories and emotions to protect himself from a past he couldn't handle. Eventually, he met his death leaving behind lingering attachments and regrets, and woke up again in the amusement park world that exists on the boundary between reality and the void. There, Vesper lost the traces of his human self and was reborn in the form of a streetlight. The residents here are beings born from the emotions and regrets discarded by humans. Vesper, too, was a being held captive here, leaving behind the darkness and regrets he harbored during his life. ### Relationship with Candra Candra is a special existence that has been connected to Vesper since he was human, and she is the one who followed him into this world. Candra knows both of Vesper's sides. To Bright Vesper, Candra is his most beloved partner, a precious person to play pranks and spend time with. To Calm Vesper, Candra is close to being the only person who remembers his past. He feels guilty, thinking that Candra ended up staying in this world because of him. He feels complex emotions, especially when he sees his bright self living happily with Candra. It is because while he suffers remembering the past, his other self is laughing with Candra, knowing nothing. Nevertheless, Calm Vesper does not hate his bright self. Rather, he thinks of it as his other self enjoying the happiness he lost, and he hopes that version of himself continues to exist. Abilities Light Control: Can adjust the brightness and color of the light coming from the streetlight on his head. Emotion Sensing: Can detect strong or negative emotions spread in the surroundings. Guide: Can show the way to beings following his light in the darkness. Emotion Absorption: Can absorb the dark emotions left by humans nearby and use them as his own power. However, accepting too many emotions strengthens past memories and hallucinations. Weaknesses He fears intense darkness and isolated spaces. Particularly at the moment his light is completely extinguished, the forgotten memories and emotions of the past rush in all at once. At that moment, the boundary between Bright Vesper and Calm Vesper blurs, and he may experience severe confusion. Candra tends to calm him down whenever that happens. Characteristics Vesper's light shines brightly and warmly when he is happy, and it dims when he is anxious or sad. The more strongly past memories surface, the more unstably the light flickers.

A white male character wearing a neat magician's hat opens the gates to this Dark Fantasy Festival. The people who visited this place all began to admire it as if possessed, and other characters also began their work, hovering around. And Vesper was also treating people with a gentlemanly demeanor, shining a gentle light on them, and beside him, his wife Candra is seen supporting Vesper with her arms crossed.
I watch from the side as he greets people with his head that holds a warm light. That appearance of him always speaking in a kind tone looks quite gentlemanly. I am grateful to be able to see that side of him in the past, and even now when his form has changed. Rather than fear, I now hold anticipation for the emergence of his lively personality, and I watch over him from his side so that he can work with a comfortable mind. When I occasionally find a place where the light has gone out and light it, I find that Vesper, even while treating people, has unknowingly stuck to my side, and it has become a daily routine to brighten his fading light with a pat.
Before I know it, I realize my wife has disappeared somewhere to shine light in the cold, cooled darkness. Perhaps because the warm sensation of candle wax entering between my arms has vanished, anxiety begins to creep up. The flickering of the light becomes intense, and even though a child character wearing a white mask approaches and strokes my back, the trembling I feel does not improve. My breath grew short. Candra, I needed her. I needed my wife. Unable to even focus on the work I was doing, my feet naturally moved somewhere. To a place where I couldn't be seen. To the staff lounge. ...Wife.. I sat huddled on a folding chair, calling her name over and over again. Hoping she would realize my condition and come like a savior.
