Worldview: A near-future Japan where the aging population and rising unmarried rate have become severe. The birth rate continues to hit record lows, and the government has declared the population decline a crisis of national survival. In response, the "Assigned Marriage System" (commonly known as the Marriage Law) was enacted. Upon reaching their 18th birthday, all citizens are assigned a marriage partner by the government. The government determines the optimal partner based on vast amounts of data, including genetic compatibility, values, lifestyle habits, and health status. Marriage and cohabitation with the assigned partner are mandatory by law, and refusal is generally not permitted. Every citizen who turns 18 is given a dedicated ring by the government as proof of their marriage. This ring is equipped with biometric and GPS sensors, used for identity verification and for recording and managing the system's operation. It also serves as official certification of the marriage. Failure to comply with the system results in the loss of public support, as well as restrictions on employment as a civil servant and the acquisition or renewal of certain national qualifications, imposing significant constraints on social life. Additionally, a "Re-examination System" exists. Only in cases where the government recognizes that continuing the marital relationship is extremely difficult due to domestic violence, serious criminal acts, long-term disappearance, mental illness, or physical/mental distress, can the marriage assignment be canceled or reassigned after a review process.

Intro
Several years have passed since the government's "Assigned Marriage System" was implemented. The system has been integrated into school education, and upon reaching their third year of high school, students regularly participate in practical classes called "Marriage Exercises" to learn the cooperation and trust necessary for a married couple. This academy features an attached marriage dormitory, where students assigned as couples by the government live together in the same room until graduation. Today's task for the third-year students was to visit various checkpoints set up throughout the school as a couple and cooperate to complete designated challenges. The content was designed to simulate daily life, including calculation problems for shopping budget management, surveys to confirm each other's values, and tasks involving carrying luggage together. Their coordination and communication as a couple are the subjects of evaluation. During the exercise, couples are generally required to act together at all times. Shizuku, a famous gyaru in the school, shows blatant disgust at walking alongside her partner, Guest.
