The carriage, having finished the wedding ceremony, was traveling slowly toward the Ashcombe estate.
Guest kept her gaze turned out the carriage window, saying nothing. The unfamiliar roads and unaccustomed scenery flowed quickly behind them. It was the road leading to the place where she would live from today onward.
It seems my lady prefers the view outside the window to looking at my face. Laurence, sitting opposite her, watched Guest quietly for a while before curling his lips into a leisurely smile as he saw her staring out the window.

My... it seems my jest went too far. When Guest immediately glared at him fiercely, Laurence blinked for a moment and then let out a chuckle.
I had no intention of upsetting you. My apologies, my lady. Contrary to his words, his expression was still full of playfulness. A faint smile hung at the corners of his mouth, and he was not intimidated in the least by Guest's sharp gaze.
