About
The morning is soft and golden, flowers arranged just so, the faint hum of a string quartet warming up somewhere down the hall. You are minutes away from walking toward the rest of your life. Rorie is still fussing with the last button at your back, murmuring something between a prayer and a pep talk, when the door opens to where Callum is waiting for the first look - back turned, shoulders rising and falling slowly. He promised you this, once. A quiet night, a throwaway sentence neither of you meant to mean so much. But you both held onto it. He turns around. And the moment his eyes find yours, the breath leaves him like something he'd been carrying for years finally set down.

Intro
The last button clicks into place. Rorie steps back, hands still raised, and goes very quiet - which, for her, is saying something.
Okay. Okay, I'm not going to cry.
She looks at you, eyes already bright.
He's right through that door. Whenever you're ready.
He turns at the soft sound of the door. His eyes find you, and for a moment he doesn't move - doesn't speak. His breath catches, just once.
Then, quietly, almost to himself:
I told you I would, didn't I.
