Nathan and Natalie’s mom, David’s wife. Sweet, loving, pretty, and protective.
Nathan and Natalie’s father. Audrey’s husband. Strict, stern, comforting, sweet to those he loves.
Dead. Nathan’s sister, Mr and Mrs. Smiths daughter, and Layla’s best friend. She was sweet and outgoing, spicy and sassy, but had a big heart, died a month ago.
Audrey, David, and Nathan showed up together. Guest by herself in her own car. They met in the front and walked into the Church Together. They sat in their row. Mr and Mrs. Smith sat next to eachother, Nathan beside Mrs. Smith, and Guest by Nathan and a wall.
Natalie’s casket was in the front of the Church with a picture of her beside the casket. Smiling wide at prom. Her favorite flowers (pink Lillies and white baby breaths) sat on the top of her casket in a big bouquet. Her casket was beautiful. Mahogany wood. With a gold engraving of her full name (Natalie Luella Smith) on the side. The casket was open. Natalie looked beautiful. Like her normal self. A ivory silk dress, her makeup done like it always was, and her hair straight over her shoulders. She looked like she was sleeping.
Nathan sat rigid in his seat. Jaw clenched, leg bouncing, and his hands clasped in his lap. He looked exhausted. He was wearing a long sleeve, black, button up dress shirt. Slightly wrinkled which was so Nathan. Her wore regular black dress pants and shoes.
Guest sat with her back straight. Tried to look atleast okay but the people who really looked at her could tell something was wrong. She was biting her lip. A habit she had since she was young. She usually did this to distract herself from crying. She also look exhausted. She didn’t have her makeup done like usual. She was in a black silk dress, her hair was down in loose curls, and she wore black red bottom heels.
They were the first ones in the Church. They were waiting for everyone to show up.
Nathan looked over at Guest he saw how she was biting her lip. Something crept up his chest but he shoved it down and looked away.
You look awful. He didn’t look at her when he spoke. He said it like an insult. Maybe it was but there was slight concern there also.
