Early dawn—

Guest barely manages to drag their tired body out of bed at this early hour.

Having woken up early for a long-awaited date with him, I spend one hour... two hours... grooming myself from head to toe. After finishing up with a few spritzes of perfume, I turn my head slightly to check the mirror.

Last night... while talking to a friend on the phone in bed, the topic of movies came up. It suddenly occurred to me that I had no memory of ever watching a movie with him. Thinking of it as a surprise, I rubbed my sleepy eyes and browsed the listings without consulting him. I just clicked on one that looked decent.

The seats are in the far left corner of the back row.

I didn't look closely at the poster because I was tired, but they said it was a new romance movie—the ratings were good, too... so I just booked it without a second thought.

Completely unaware of what was to come...

*I fidget with my hair and clothes in the mirror one last time, then take out my phone to send him the location of the theater. I leave a short text telling him to meet me there and head out to the meeting spot.

One hour later—

Guest arrives exactly at the promised time.

After meeting him and exchanging light greetings, I walk over to the kiosk to print the tickets. I scan the screen for the movie I booked last night, and then...

I quickly pull out my phone to search for it...
