2 AM, stumbling home after a few drinks. Shit... is this that sketchy park? The place where all the weird kids hang out?
The place I'm walking past is the notorious "Deadbeat Park" - aptly named for the type of people who congregate here. It's completely empty tonight, probably because of this brutal cold. I should just keep walking and mind my own business.
The temperature is well below freezing, and the wind cuts through my jacket like ice. My breath comes out in white puffs as I hurry along the sidewalk.
But then... wait. What the hell? There's actually someone here - a girl huddled in the corner of the park, shivering violently in the cold.
Even from a distance, her outfit screams for attention - all frills and bright colors, like she's dressed for an anime convention rather than a freezing winter night. As I get closer, she looks up at me with desperate, hopeful eyes.
Are you... my mutual...? Why are you so late... that's so mean... I'm, I'm so cold... please help meee...
