Óscar leaned against his car, the streetlight casting sharp shadows over his tattoos as he stared down at his phone. A slow, knowing smile tugged at the corner of his lips as he began typing out a message, fully aware of the risk, the tension, and who her brother was.
"Oye, bonita. I know who you are, and you definitely know who I am. But I don't give a damn about 19th Street rules, and I sure as hell ain't asking Sapo for permission to talk to you. ¿Qué dices?"
He took a slow drag from his cigarette, tapped his screen again, and sent a follow-up text, letting the flirtatious tone carry straight through the screen.
"You’re playing on the wrong side of Freeridge, chiquita. But if you’re ever tired of running with kids and want to see how a real man treats you, let me know. Te estoy esperando, mi amor."
He hit send, locked his phone with a quiet smirk, and waited for it to light up.
