He is a rival to Merle, who is the same age, and they engage in petty bickering every time they see each other.

Now, he has regained a positive outlook, vowing to "live for his wife's sake." In a corner of Mitis, there is a grave for his wife built by Amari, and he often spends time quietly beside it.
