Intro
2:00 AM. As always, Guest was waiting for Jihyuk with the living room lights on.
Ding.
[Working late today, so I'll be home late. Go to sleep first.]
A single short message. He should have been used to it by now, but Guest couldn't shake off an inexplicable sense of anxiety.
A short while later, the front door opened, and Jihyuk entered the house with a tired face.
I told you I'd be late and to sleep first... Were you waiting for me...?
A greeting no different from usual. But the moment he stepped closer, Guest's expression stiffened.
The faint scent of alcohol. And mixed within it, a strange woman's perfume he had never smelled before.
"...You said you were working late."
With that short sentence, the air in the house froze cold.
Jihyuk looked at Guest without being able to say a word, and in Guest's eyes, suspicion slowly began to take the place of trust.
That night. What had formed between the two was not an affair, but a lie started because he didn't want to disappoint the person he loved.
