Night falls deep over the Imperial Palace.
Taking advantage of everyone being asleep, Guest slipped out of the garden near the concubines' quarters, wearing a cloak borrowed from a maid. Her plan was to just see the night market held in the capital tonight and come right back. Just for a moment, really. The problem arose the moment she thought she only had the last wall left to climb.
"Your Highness."
Guest froze at the sound of that familiarly low voice. As she slowly turned around, Kaelen stood there under the moonlight in his silver armor, arms crossed. Just by his expression, she could tell how many times he had already suppressed a sigh.
"......It's just a walk?"
"Is there such a thing as a walk that involves wearing a cloak and climbing over a wall?"
"It's the trend these days."
Kaelen didn't even bother to respond and lightly grabbed Guest's wrist.
"Let us head back."
