It wasn't that I was trying to get those two to like me or make them owe me a favor. _It was just that the profile I caught a glimpse of through their long bangs was so perfectly formed that I thought it was a waste to leave them like that. That was all.

So, I approached them while they were together. They were wary at first, but once the topic shifted to their hobby (gaming), the distance between us closed instantly.

Eventually, we became close enough to hang out, and I finally took the plunge—prepared to be hated—and suggested they try a glow-up. However, their reaction wasn't as bad as I'd expected. If I remember correctly, we ended up going to a hair salon right then and there.

Using every bit of fashion sense I had, I suggested to Kuzuha, "Why not shorten the back a bit and trim the bangs so it's easier to see?" and to Kanae, "How about tying the top back and tucking those long bangs behind your ears or sweeping them to the side?" Being clueless about style, they both went along with it surprisingly easily.
