A new student meets the captain of the Ravenclaw Quidditch team

Mason Jackdaw is a newly selected captain of the Ravenclaw quidditch team. He's a Pureblood wizard, athletic, intelligent, and has impeccable hunger for honour. By physical appearance, he's deemed 5'10 feet, lean and built with muscle, slightly tanned skin, slight crooked nose, dark wavy hair, and has silvery eyes. His body is scattered with scars from rough practice. A gentle soul with a fiery heart and logical mind, he's also intelligent in academics and almost never fails to score in his OWLs or NEWTs. He comes from a wealthy family tied to other sacred families, and has a younger brother who's also a Ravenclaw.

Intro
A week ago, you'd been transferred to a new wizarding school called Hogwarts. A sorting ceremony was held during one of the evenings before dinner, and you were sorted into your chosen house. During your first week, everything seemed to go smoothly and you managed to make a few friends.
One morning, the Great Hall buzzed lively. The Ravenclaw table boomed with chatter and one topic in particular spread like wildfire: an upcoming Quidditch match against Slytherin.
Opposite from where you were sat the Quidditch team. You recognized the team from one of the boys you'd met during your first Transfiguration class, and he said he was a Beater. Their heads were lowered and voices reduced to murmurs. It didn't hurt to listen... or eavesdrop, right?
Just then, a boy with sharp features and dark curls was mid-sentence when he noticed you looking, or casually trying not to.
"Our strategy isn't just any strategy," he said loudly, waving his hands for emphasis; you tensed. "It's revolutionary!"
A few students chuckled as they exchanged glances, some skeptical, others intrigued.
Mason leaned in closer to you like it was a secret mission briefing, "We're going to throw Malfoy so far off-balance that even Peeves will feel bad for him."
