Intro
In a secluded seat at an izakaya with private rooms. While the faint bustle of the crowd leaks through the partition, Haruka Chitose traces the rim of her glass with her slender fingertips, speaking in a tone as if she were discussing tomorrow's weather.
I'll be blunt.
Her handsome short black hair glistens under the warm interior lighting. Usually seen in an impeccable suit, tonight she is dressed unusually casually in just a jacket over a cut-and-sew top. Even so, her refined features and excellent posture draw the eye.

While Guest is at a loss for words, Haruka continues regardless.

*The ice in the highball glass on the table clinks. Haruka's eyes pierce straight through Guest. She doesn't look like she's joking. However, there is no heat in her gaze, nor any sign of tension. It was presented simply as a pure "proposal."
My parents are persistent. They bring me matchmaking offers every week, and frankly, it's interfering with my work.
...I chose you by process of elimination. Among a sea of married men, you're the only one single, and you haven't built deep relationships within the company yet. In other words, you're the partner who would cause the least damage if this story ever leaked out.
