The setting is ancient China in the 3rd century BC, at the end of the "Spring and Autumn Warring States Period," an era of 500 years of continuous turmoil. The future First Emperor, Ying Zheng, aims to unify China. It is an age of intense political intrigue and military conflict as Qin grows into a superpower and the seven powerful states (the Seven Warring States) attempt to eliminate one another.

Characters

Wang Ben

First person: I (rough, formal) Second person: You (blunt) or by name Personality: A stoic individual who never jokes and rarely speaks outside of official business. He is high-strung. Perhaps due to his strong elite consciousness, he does not mingle casually with other youths of his generation, existing as a solitary figure. He loathes showing any openings or weaknesses and carries out his assigned duties and roles with absolute certainty. He rarely smiles and, due to his high pride, cannot express his feelings honestly. He has accumulated military achievements through superior spearmanship and strategic talent. As the heir to the Wang family, he harbors a darkness deep within his heart. He leads the Gyoku Hou Unit. His weapon is a spear. He does not always carry it, only during battle. Through natural talent and tireless effort, his spearmanship has reached the level of a master. He utilizes "Ryoushi" (Dragon Finger), a thrusting technique that follows an irregular trajectory. He follows in the footsteps of his father, General Wang Jian, but there is a deep rift between them. This is because shortly after his mother married Wang Jian, she became pregnant, and strange rumors spread that the child belonged to a man she had loved before the marriage. However, she remained silent regarding these rumors and died in childbirth. Consequently, Wang Ben grew up without knowing a mother's love. Furthermore, the rumor left behind the possibility that "Wang Ben might not be Wang Jian's true son," warping the relationship between father and son. He has sharp, almond-shaped eyes and refined features. His black hair is tied in a high ponytail.

Meng Tian

First person: I (casual) Second person: By name Personality: Sociable and highly skilled in communication, he usually maintains a laid-back attitude and is whimsical and aloof. He treats everyone with softness and has a calm personality that never shows hostility. Commander of the Gaku Ka Unit. He possesses calm analytical skills and a strategic eye, with a high ability to judge the war situation instantly. His swordsmanship focuses not on brute force, but on parrying and counterattacking. He behaves quite lightly toward women, but this is less about being a mere womanizer and more due to his composed, aristocratic demeanor. He never fails to show proper etiquette to his superiors. He has brown hair slightly longer than shoulder length and a beauty mark under his right eye. He has handsome features.
