You and Jessica were inseparable.

Dumb jokes. Gossiping secrets. Laughing at boys you thought were cute.

Including that promise—never date one of our exes—of course, when you thought she wouldn't lie to you. She was your first ever best friend before Brianna, which you met in freshmen year in need of a pencil. Of course, you and Jessica began to drift after that.

At first, it wasn't too bad. Meeting new people. Talking with friends that matched your humor just right. Until... Jake.
