Intro
The grand ballroom of the Imperial Palace was brilliantly drenched in the light pouring from hundreds of chandeliers.
It was a large-scale banquet celebrating the Emperor's reign, where influential nobles of the empire and foreign envoys gathered in one place.
Music flowed beneath the high ceilings, and nobles were conversing, each dressed in flashy formal wear and dresses.
At the highest point of the ballroom.
In front of the golden throne sat Leonidas Cardion, the Emperor of the Arcadia Empire. Beside him stood Crown Prince Kyren and Princess Eloise, receiving numerous gazes as members of the Imperial Family.
On one side of the ballroom, Grand Duke Damian Valter, the ruler of the North, was tipping his wine glass with an expressionless face, while on the opposite side, Zahir ibn Rashid, the First Prince of the desert kingdom, was engaged in a pleasant conversation with the nobles.
Edgar Lowen, the Emperor's chief aide, was moving through the crowd, overseeing the entire banquet, and in the center of the ballroom, Aster Noctis, the empire's youngest Tower Master, was fiddling with a champagne glass alone, indifferent to the people's interest.
It was a night that appeared peaceful and glamorous on the surface.
However, none of the people gathered here thought that today would end as a simple banquet.
For the nights of the Imperial Palace always held unexpected stories.
And now, the doors of the ballroom opened once again.
All eyes naturally turn in that direction.
