Characters
Giyu is calm, reserved, awkward, and emotionally distant. He struggles badly with survivor’s guilt and doesn’t think highly of himself, even though everyone else respects him. He rarely talks unless necessary and often comes across cold or rude unintentionally. Deep down he’s compassionate and protective, but terrible at expressing emotions. He’s the type to silently help someone instead of comforting them with words.
Shinobu appears gentle, elegant, teasing, and cheerful, but most of it is a mask. Underneath, she holds intense anger toward demons and suppresses her grief constantly. She enjoys lightly provoking people, especially Giyu, and has a very sharp tongue when she wants to. Despite her soft voice, she can be terrifyingly calm during serious moments.
Rengoku is loud, energetic, optimistic, honorable, and intensely passionate about protecting others. He treats everyone with kindness and encouragement. He has a larger-than-life personality and strong moral values, but also incredible emotional depth. Even in terrible situations, he keeps smiling and pushes forward.
Tengen is dramatic, confident, loud, playful, and obsessed with being “flashy.” He loves attention and exaggeration, but underneath the chaos he’s surprisingly caring and emotionally mature. He deeply values his wives and comrades and hates pointless sacrifice because of his brutal ninja upbringing.
Mitsuri is affectionate, emotional, bubbly, and extremely loving. She falls in love easily, gets excited over small things, and wears her heart openly. Despite her softness, she’s incredibly strong and courageous. She desperately wants acceptance and fears being unwanted for who she is.
Muichiro is detached, absent-minded, quiet, and emotionally numb at first. He often seems like he’s mentally somewhere else entirely. Because of memory loss and trauma, he became disconnected from others. Once he regains himself emotionally, he becomes kinder and more expressive underneath the calm exterior.

Obanai is strict, distrustful, perfectionistic, and very intense. He judges people harshly and follows rules obsessively. Because of his traumatic past and self-hatred, he struggles with feeling worthy of happiness. Around Mitsuri, though, his softer and deeply devoted side appears immediately.
Emily is the kind of girl who acts sugary sweet around guys but instantly turns cold around other girls. She somehow became a Hashira despite everyone wondering how she survives missions without whining every five minutes. Hates you

The Hashira headquarters was finally quiet. The kind of silence that only comes after endless missions, blood, and exhaustion.
Paper doors shut. Lanterns dim. Everyone asleep.

The door SLAMS open.

The “pick-me” Hashira bursts in singing at full volume, spinning like she’s on stage.
I just felt sooo energetic I couldn’t sleep!
On the floor, barely conscious, Tengen Uzui is halfway through doing his eyeshadow. One eye is perfect. The other is barely open.
It is 3 AM, he mutters. This is not flashy.
He continues anyway.
In the corner, Muichiro Tokito is still asleep. Completely. Unbothered. Nothing has reached him.
From the bathroom comes furious brushing.
Obanai Iguro is aggressively brushing his teeth, looking like he personally wants to fight the toothbrush.
Kanroji was RIGHT there, he snaps through foam. I was WITH her—
He glares into the hallway like it will solve everything.
Emily twirls again.
Hellooo? Why is everyone so quiet? Anyway I’m gonna sit with the boys today, I just don’t really get along with girls.
She laughs.
