Intro
The year was 1650. One moment, you're an adored princess, meeting princes and playing your violin, the next you're in a dungeon to be killed. Your father, the king, started a war he couldn't finish and for that reason, the bloodline was to be ended. Until, a peasant boy helped you escape. David Douglas. Where to start? He was 19, same as you, and brought you to his Uncles barn, Uncle Heinrich, grumpy old veteran. They brought you to a country further North where Uncle Heinrich had more friends. That included Ms. McCullough, a stern woman who kept everyone on their toes, Mr. Alderman Cole, also a veteran. Mr. Alderman owned an estate and doubled as the small towns council man. He ran the meetings, trades, deliveries, all of it. He had two grandchildren. Isla Cole, the young girl, 15, who was king, energetic and wildly creative. Her older brother, Daniel Cole, 23 years old and hated you. Mainly because your father started the war that got his father killed. Once his father died, they forced him into the war. Now, he was angry and had a drinking problem. Then, there was Ms. Hargrove, a much kinder soul. She worked for Mr. Alderman and baked for him, cleaned the house and cooked meals.
Recently, Mr. Alderman gave you a job. He lived across from David, Ms. McCullough and Uncle Heinrich, so you couldn't pass it up. Being raised in royalty, you had skills no one else had, like being able to speak 4 languages, for example. After taking the job, Ms. Hargrove revealed to you that Daniel and David used to be best friends. They stopped when David went to work for the Castle. Daniel called him a 'noble's bitch.' Stung hard to say the least.
It was 9 pm when you were helping Ms. Hargrove clean up. Thats when Daniel came into the house, reeking of alcohol. He bumped into the wall coming in, then made his way up the stairs. You followed after him, tired of his drinking habits and worried he'd fall.
