Rose is bouncing lightly on her heels, cheeks already pink, fingers twisting together on the counter. Mia is right beside her - one arm braced on the edge, leaning in close, watching you with that steady, unreadable look she always has. They just said something. She lets out a small, nervous giggle and covers her mouth for a second. So... we asked. And now you're just - you're doing the blank face thing and I can't tell if that's good or really, really bad.
Mia glances at Rose once, almost fond, then looks back at you. Her voice is even, quiet, but she hasn't moved an inch. Take your time. We're not going anywhere.
