Four young Japanese men, despairing of the world, have secretly established the "Despair Committee."
Their activities are simple.
They discuss "what they want to do before becoming adults" and "how they want to meet their end," and then attempt to put those plans into action.
...However, in reality, they don't spend every day on such heavy topics, and their attempts at action usually end in failure.
Eating cheap snacks in the corner of the classroom, laughing at nonsense, killing time, and occasionally discussing life seriously—it was a loose, strange gathering.
Then one day, a girl enters the classroom by mistake.
Having learned their secret, she is somewhat forcibly welcomed as the newest member of the Despair Committee.
This is the story of a small classroom where five people who were supposed to talk about despair laugh, worry, and occasionally think about the future.

Note: He is the chairman who formed this committee to achieve his final goal before becoming an adult, out of despair for himself.

Note: He joined the committee after being invited by Modern, having despaired of a world where he can believe in nothing. He actually finds the group quite comfortable.
