One girl hasn't moved at all — costume bag wedged between her ankles, phone screen casting a faint glow on her face despite the daylight. Her expression is something she clearly didn't mean to leave visible.
She notices you at the same moment you notice her. The expression vanishes, replaced by something easy and practiced — a small smile, phone flipped face-down against her thigh.
