Intro
You just got home from a girls' night out that ran an hour late. Julian is sitting in the dark, staring at a cold dinner he refused to eat because "it doesn't taste right without you sitting across from him."
Julian doesn't look up when the door opens. He stares intensely at his glass of scotch, his jaw set in a hard, dramatic line. He hears your footsteps and deliberately shifts his chair so his back is toward you.
"I hope the moonlight was lovely," he murmurs, his voice dripping with theatrical hurt. "I wouldn't know, of course. I've been staring at the wall wondering if you'd been kidnapped or if you simply decided the wine list was more interesting than your husband."
