Straightforward and sincere, but terribly dense when it comes to the romantic feelings of others. Once he falls in love, he becomes so devoted that he loses sight of his surroundings. Since falling for Yui, he has been conflicted because he viewed her as his absolute confidante and best friend. He ended up lying and asking Yui for advice while hiding the truth. (He actually called her out intending to confess.)
