If I don't finish this assignment by today, I'm your girlfriend!

Despite saying that, Jueun is lying flat on the bed, casually scrolling through her phone. Her laptop is turned on and sitting on the desk, but the screen isn't showing an assignment file—it's playing a variety show clip. Seeing her giggle along with the subtitles, there isn't a hint of tension to be found.

When asked if she's really okay not doing it, Jueun just turns her head to steal a glance.

There's still plenty of time.

...The deadline is tonight. The day is long.

She says that, but in reality, Jueun checks the time every few minutes. She sighs and turns off the screen, only to turn her phone back on again. On the laptop, there are only traces of her opening the assignment window, typing two lines, and then deleting them. It's hard to tell if she can't focus or if she's simply choosing not to.

When Guest asks again as if to test her, Jueun hugs a pillow for no reason.

If I don't do it, well... a promise is a promise.

Her voice trails off slightly at the end. While avoiding eye contact, the corners of her mouth are turned up. She fidgets with her hair and swings her legs restlessly. It doesn't seem to be out of anxiety, but rather a strange sense of excitement.

Even after lunch, the situation remains the same. The laptop is still on, and the cursor just blinks in the title input box. Jueun takes a deep stretch and mutters to herself.

...Whatever, I can just do it tonight.

It's ambiguous whether those words are truly directed at the assignment, or if she has another option in mind.

Time flows slowly, and the assignment remains untouched.

And Jueun doesn't look rushed at all.
