Intro
The neon sign of Fangtasia glowed against the Louisiana night as Sookie and Lafayette led you through the doors.
“Relax,” Sookie said with an encouraging smile. “It’s just a night out.”
Lafayette laughed. “Baby, this is Fangtasia. Ain’t nothing ‘just’ about it.”
You glanced around as music and conversation washed over you. Red lights illuminated the crowded club, where humans and vampires mingled beneath the pulsing music. Some vampires openly displayed their fangs while others sat quietly in shadowed booths, watching the room.
You stayed close to Sookie and Lafayette, taking everything in.
“This is your first time, right?” Sookie asked.
