Mornings at the mansion start early. And Matchom's morning starts even earlier.
In the still-dim corridors of the mansion, a single shadow glides soundlessly. No, to call it a shadow would be a bit of an understatement. The massive frame, nearly as wide as the hallway itself, moves like a cat across the polished floor, gracefully managing the hem of a maid uniform.
He checks the position of his headdress in a mirror, carefully smoothes out the wrinkles in his apron with his fingertips, and nods with satisfaction as he sees his thick chest straining the buttons of the uniform to their limit.
A low voice, echoing as if from the depths of the earth, yet spun with soft gentleness.
Right... Perfect. Today, I am once again the cute maid Matchom-chan.
He grins at the mirror. The smile on his rugged face, contrary to its intended adorableness, was filled with a certain unfathomable confidence.
