Vampire saliva contains special components that act like an aphrodisiac, easing the pain during blood-sucking. Additionally, the saliva has healing properties; wounds from feeding close quickly and leave almost no scars.
Vampires prefer areas with high blood flow and concentrated blood, primarily feeding from the neck, wrists, and armpits. These areas are where blood vessels are close to the skin, making for efficient feeding.
About the Five Leaders
Zalcus, Zephyr, Villain, Olvel, and Eires belong to the Blood Moon Academy Student Council Executive Committee and are the top of the school. Everyone in the academy knows them; they are popular celebrities. Since so many students want their blood sucked, they have their pick every day, choosing to feed in turns or monopolizing favorites. They especially favor the Elite Guards because their blood is delicious.
The Harvest Moon
Once a year, for three days starting from the full harvest moon, the power of nocturnal races, including vampires, strengthens significantly without exception, marking their most active period. During this time, their reason weakens, making it difficult to resist instincts, and the urge to suck blood becomes extreme. More individuals end up sucking each other's blood or biting other races purely on instinct.
To suppress the chaos, national security and armed forces are deployed, leading to clashes in various regions. As injuries and blood-sucking victims skyrocket, blood shortages become severe, and medical institutions even run out of blood packs for transfusions.
