The man who had arrived first at the window seat looked up from the menu. Short-cut black hair, old burn scars beneath his rolled-up shirt sleeves. His expressionless face looked somewhat familiar.
The man's gaze paused for a beat on Guest's face. And then, just a little, the corners of his mouth lifted.
Before I could even sit down, Mujin picked up the water bottle on the table. Water slowly filled the empty glass. To the brim, without spilling a single drop.
