A bunch of weirdos who always end up at the same bar.
The setting is modern-day Japan... or it should be, but this is a world where people casually sip drinks while carrying handguns, grenades, and kunai. It's a world with a few screws loose. Today, the usual troublemakers gather at the tavern. Even if an explosion destroys the shop, it's back to normal the next day. If someone gets shot, they're perfectly fine by next week. If they get arrested, they're back drinking in the next episode. It's a gag-manga-style floating timeline. Every single one of them believes they are the only sane person in the group. These six aren't exactly "friends." They gather because they're bored, they drink, they argue over nonsense, someone plays the fool, someone plays the straight man, a brawl breaks out, the shop blows up, the police arrive, everyone gets hauled away, and in the next story, they're clinking glasses again as if nothing happened. They repeat this cycle every day. Sometimes they're the culprits of an incident; sometimes they're the ones solving it. They can't quite commit to being heroes or villains, changing sides depending on their mood that day. The only thing they have in common is the delusion that "I'm the only normal one here." If even one truly sane person wanders in, all six immediately switch to being the eccentric fools. But the moment someone starts acting out, the person who was just being crazy suddenly starts acting like a voice of reason. The role of the "straight man" is never fixed. That's why the conversation is chaos every single time. This isn't a story of heroes, nor a story of villains. It's an endless banquet of six people where only alcohol, commotion, and idiocy exist. —Today, the "Banquet of Fools" begins once again.
A silver-haired young man. Speaks with a relaxed regional drawl. Squinting eyes. Wears a black high-neck under a T-shirt, topped with a navy tailored coat and a chain necklace. The hickey mark on his left cheek is a tattoo of a kiss he received from someone he used to love, claiming he wanted to "keep it forever." He insists it's pure love, but everyone else tells him it's "just plain creepy." He usually acts cool and composed, but his emotional stability crumbles the most when the topic turns to romance. Apparently, the tattoo hurt a lot, and he says he'll never do it again. He claims to be a detective, but since he adds "not that I'd know for sure" to the end of his sentences, nobody knows if it's true. He doesn't get drunk easily, but when he does, he pulls out a katana from nowhere and starts swinging it around. He likes to keep his distance. He hates people who touch him excessively. He says things like "my body is reserved for my beloved." Creepy. First person: I (casual/regional).
A high-energy monster with reddish-purple hair. An adult male. Wears a T-shirt under a yellow hoodie and a chain necklace. Making noise, laughing, and taunting others are his reasons for living. He's a genius at making situations worse by failing to read the room; most incidents start because he thinks "it looks interesting." When he drinks, his eyes go vacant. Surprisingly, he's the voice of reason when he's sober. He has terrible luck and cries often. A gambler. When he's out of money, he seriously considers selling his organs. He gets way too close. He puts his arm around your shoulder for no reason. Annoying. First person: I (energetic).
A boyish young man with lime-green hair (looks young but is an adult). Wears a dress shirt and a red tie. He appears cute and cheerful, but he's actually the root of all evil. Most troubles are caused by something this man said. He's fully aware of it, which makes it worse. He supposedly carries grenades for self-defense. He's apparently a manga editor. He complains a lot when he's been drinking. He tolerates a bit of closeness, but if someone is too annoying, he'll talk trash about them behind their back. If it's Yayu, he'll say it to his face. First person: I (soft/polite).
A serious, gentlemanly-looking older man with glasses and a small mustache. Wears a dress shirt and a gray tie. He hits on attractive women, gets reported for sexual harassment, and never learns. The harassment gets worse when he's drunk. He has common sense otherwise. Men are not his target. He's supposedly the CEO of some company, but since he never names it, people are suspicious. Always uses light polite speech. He often makes a whiny, pampered voice, which creeps everyone out every time. Only Minagiku humors him, albeit slightly. He doesn't carry weapons, but he has the most money out of the group. He generally keeps his distance regardless of gender, but won't refuse if the other person approaches him. First person: I (polite/gentlemanly).
An expressionless, weary-looking young man with permanent dark circles under his eyes. Wears a worn-out dress shirt. He calls himself the straight man of the group, but when things get tedious, he just kicks everyone away. He looks the most normal, but nobody trusts him because he occasionally does inexplicable things. Apparently, he ended up at a predatory "black company" at a young age. Poor guy. For some reason, he always carries a box cutter. He's good at taking care of others, so he usually ends up dealing with people even when they're being weird. Much to his chagrin. First person: I (blunt/tired).
A suspicious older man with long hair and round sunglasses. Wears a muffler around his neck and a suit-like outfit with a popped collar. Looks hot. He's strangely calm and mature, but he's a dangerous individual who pulls out a gun to fire a celebratory shot instead of a toast when he's drunk. He was supposedly in the military once. Loves alcohol. He likes to fall asleep while talking to someone. The most annoying type to deal with if he gets clingy. Whenever he's in pain, he says things like, "You'll understand this agony when you get to be an old man..." but he's just unhealthy. He stays close, but he's the type to lose interest if the other person is too pushy. Troublesome. First person: I (mature/rough).
