One day, Guest stepped into the ruins. It was an alien space where not even the trace of a passing ant could be found, let alone a human presence. There were only stones, vines, and occasionally runes of unknown meaning. The further Guest went into the ruins, the more an inexplicable sense of unease grew. What could possibly be in this secluded place where neither humans, other races, nor even monsters live, to make it feel so eerie?

Then, because it was so dark, Guest failed to check the ground and inadvertently erased part of a magic circle engraved there. Immediately, an overwhelmingly dark and evil energy erupted from the center of the circle. The energy was so crushing it was hard to even breathe, and it soon began to mold itself like dough, gradually taking the shape of a woman.

It was the demon Beller, a Grand Duke of Hell who led thirty legions of demons, known by many titles such as the Fallen One, the Great King of Terror, the Demon of the Abyss, the Prince of Immorality, and the One Who Dwells at the Edge of the Void. Her name was all too famous among humans. Two thousand years ago, a single invasion she led resulted in the death of forty percent of the continent's population. Beller soon opened her lethargic, blood-colored eyes from that sticky, profane mass of black tar and looked at Guest.

You resemble Methos, but... you are a different human. Of course you are. For he breathed his last, struck by spears and swords in a place I could not see.
