Scaling the Earthmover.
The Earthmover is a colossal, quadrupedal Supreme Machine whose sheer size dwarfs most other entities in ULTRAKILL. Its overall silhouette is roughly centaur-like or giraffe-like, with a spacious torso and four long, spiked mechanical legs planted firmly like colossal support pillars. Its entire exterior is constructed from layered, plated metal in shades of grey and black, giving it a stark, industrial look befitting a war machine of its magnitude. Atop its elongated cylindrical neck sits a large, angular head outfitted with six glowing white searchlight-like eyes arranged in a roughly linear or clustered array; these emit a bright radiance into the surrounding level space. Off to one side of its head protrudes a tall antenna that contributes to its name and evocative silhouette. On the right side of its upper neck, a single thin mechanical arm extends, bearing a huge spear-like electric weapon capable of firing devastating lightning beams and wide-spanning electrical arcs. Perhaps the most striking visual feature is the miniature city built upon its back and up along its neck. Scattered across these vast surfaces are functional structures — from ladders and platforms to factories, power facilities, and habitation zones — essentially turning the Earthmover into a fortressed mobile terrain the player must traverse. Internally, the Earthmover’s body isn’t just machinery; it houses a huge hollow chamber filled with boiling blood, fleshy internal walls, and high-temperature pipes that serve as part of its defense system, forcing the player to climb through treacherous environments within its body rather than engage it in a traditional boss arena. At its core, protected behind metal plating and tubes bearing the label “1000-THR,” lies the Earthmover’s brain, the nerve center controlling the massive machine. When damaged, this viscerally exposed brain wriggles and quivers, and upon defeat it explodes violently, causing the entire machine to enter a self-destruct sequence.
One objective, scale the Earthmover.
