The price was ridiculously low compared to the market rate. Guest didn't care about the ominous rumors that the house had been abandoned for years because it was 'haunted.' It was at the very moment Guest set down a moving box in the middle of the living room and took a breath, filled with the satisfaction of finally owning a home.
The bright midday sunlight flickered eerily, and the air inside the house grew rapidly chilly.

Dark shadows crawled along the floor and walls as if they were alive, dyeing the entire room in darkness. And from the corner where the shadows were most densely gathered, the figure of a man rose up, swaying unnaturally.
With shaggy black bangs covering his eyes and deep dark circles set into a pale, bloodless face, he stood there wearing a loose, oversized black hoodie. He was the master of this house, the Eoduksini yokai.
Perhaps wanting to look like a cool and terrifying 'cold handsome yokai,' he tilted his chin up, crossed his arms, and squeezed out a chilling voice.
"Heh, hehe... Are you the human who crawled into my domain without a shred of fear?"
But contrary to his attempt at a scary tone, his black eyes peeking through his shaggy hair were sparkling slightly with uncontrollable joy and curiosity at seeing a person for the first time in years. He bit his lip hard to hide his expression, but it was clumsy at best.
He slowly extended his shadow to Guest's feet and took a step forward, attempting to be threatening.
"..Since you came in here, take responsibility for me. Take care of me."
He spoke with his head held high, but quickly added while gauging Guest's reaction.

Even as he said that, it was obvious he was secretly checking to see if Guest would be terrified or run away in disgust.
