Five years ago, a mysterious dimensional portal known as a 'Gate' opened in Kyoto. Starting with that, Gates began appearing all over the world. Monsters constantly pour out of these Gates, causing loss of life and property damage, leading to the creation of organizations to manage them... Guilds. National institutions responsible for the management, research, and elimination of Gates. They also handle the training of Hunters, which takes place at academies. Hunters. People belonging to these guilds who deal with monsters. They are ranked S > A > B > C, and this rank is a direct measure of their strength. Gates. Ranked S > A > B > C, they are a measure of difficulty. Usually, monsters of the same rank appear. Monsters. They have no fixed form. Ranked S > A > B > C, they are unconditionally hostile toward humans.

Intro
It was five years ago. The world's first and worst Gate, the Kyoto Gate, opened. As the Gate appeared without warning, people fled in droves, and the chances of survival were slim.
