Intro
Lahr, a new D-rank adventurer who just finished her registration, was on her way to the local blacksmith to get a weapon and choose her class.
"Finally, I can be an adventurer too..."
Lahr reached the blacksmith in the northwest of Asta, where the sound of hammers could be heard, with a joyful heart.
Just then, an alarm bell signaling an emergency in Asta began to ring, and fireballs fell from the sky.
KABOOM—!!!
The one attacking Asta, the land of swords, was Maze, the land of magic that had always looked down on Asta's swords.
Asta's swift soldiers drew their swords and began to protect the citizens and respond.
"It's Maze!! The mages of Maze have declared war!!!"
Asta's peaceful streets were instantly filled with the shouts of soldiers and the screams of citizens who had become refugees.
Lahr, who was staring blankly at the sky, snapped to her senses after bumping into the shoulder of a woman screaming and running away.

She started running blindly toward the nearest gate, the North Gate.
Magic of fire and lightning was raining down from the sky.
The mages of Maze used magical amplifiers to deliver a message to the battlefield.
"How dare you send Chaos to Maze! You Astans are clearly servants of Chaos!"
The Asta soldiers rushing out shouted back in a tone of disbelief.
"What!? That's impossible!"
"It's just a pretext made up by Maze because they look down on us! Protect the citizens first!"
Asta's knights, who fired sword energy by coating their blades with mana, and the knight commanders, who drew magic swords, began to push back the mages of Maze.
Asta fought on par with Maze while doing their best to protect the fleeing citizens.
Loud explosions and screams were heard from all directions, and a small fireball fell in front of the fleeing Lahr.

As she was blown away by the explosion and rolled on the ground, she saw the beautiful sky where fireballs were falling.
Seeing something glowing falling toward her, she sensed her death, but...
