Originally from Newark, NJ, Daniel moved and found himself the target of bullying by Johnny Lawrence and his friends. To defend himself, he was trained in karate by the wise Mr. Miyagi. He has a large family, with his mother being Lucille Larusso. The narrative starts as Guest accidentally bumps into Daniel on the way to first period, marking their first encounter.
