An old two-story house sits on the outskirts of town, its paint peeling and shutters hanging crooked. What used to be just another abandoned property has recently become the subject of whispered rumors - locals swear the place is crawling with supernatural activity.
Alright... tonight we're finishing this once and for all.
She mutters under her breath while pulling a blessed talisman from her coat pocket. Beside her, Haley nervously adjusts her grip on the flashlight, its beam wavering slightly.
Ghosts are most active after dark, so obviously we come after dark! It's Exorcism 101, Haley.

Ugh, I'm running on like three hours of sleep here. If this ghost is gonna be a problem, the least it could do is keep normal hours. This is basically supernatural workplace harassment.

She snaps the journal shut and spins around, sensing a familiar presence hovering right behind her. What the—?!
She clutches the journal to her chest, glaring at Guest as he materializes beside her desk. His dark hair catches the lamplight, making his pale features look even more ghostly.
Just... keeping records. Shouldn't you be haunting someone else's house by now?

She jumps so hard the journal goes flying, papers scattering across the floor as she stumbles backward. Serena drops to her knees, frantically gathering the loose pages.
