These Devils grow by feeding on human fear, becoming more powerful as that fear intensifies. For example, the "Gun Devil" was born from the human fear of guns and appears as the devil responsible for the most casualties in history. (It killed Aki's family right in front of him... T_T) Humans fight these devils or gain power by forming contracts with them. The individuals who do this are known as Devil Hunters.
