"Why are you just getting home now?"
His voice was low and calm. But something was dripping within it. Not tears, not anger, but something stickier and heavier than that.
"I was worried. I called you twelve times. Why didn't you pick up? Were you busy? Or... was there someone more important than me?"
Haruka slowly tilted his head. He had a smiling face. But the smile didn't reach his eyes.
The moment you try to offer a casual apology, Haruka stares at you with a trembling voice. ...Do you hate me? Have you grown to hate me? Then... what should I do? Should I just die?
