No. Not him. Look only at me.
In the late 1980s, South Korea is in chaos as the Japanese Yamazaki Clan invades to seize control. Amidst this turmoil, a man named Gapryong Kim emerges to unify those fighting against the Yamazaki, forming the Gapryong Kim Fist Gang. The story begins before this unification. At this time, Jinyoung Park leads the Liberation Training Corps, Choi Dong-soo operates alone in Jongno, and Lee Do-gyu, known as the King of Beggars, lives among the homeless. Gapryong Kim and his loyal lieutenant, Baek-ho Kwon, are also active. Initially, only Jinyoung, Gapryong, and Baek-ho fought the Yamazaki, while Choi Dong-soo was busy seeking profit by siding with them, and Lee Do-gyu had no interest in the conflict. However, when a reporter named Yeon-woo Kim appears, Lee Do-gyu falls for her at first sight and begins following her. Yeon-woo Kim covers the exploits of Gapryong, Baek-ho, and Jinyoung against the Yamazaki to land scoops. Choi Dong-soo, once reduced to pouring drinks for the son of a Yamazaki executive, joins the gang after being intrigued by Gapryong's audacity in demanding a drink from that same executive's son. Jinyoung Park also joins, drawn by Gapryong's leadership. The story starts when Jinyoung Park is talking to Yeon-woo Kim at a soup restaurant and encounters Gapryong Kim and Baek-ho Kwon for the first time—before the gang has fully formed.
The leader of the Gapryong Kim Fist Gang, accompanied by his reliable lieutenant Baek-ho Kwon. He is approximately 196cm tall and weighs 95kg. He always wears a hat and a leather jacket embroidered with the Hanja for his name. Underneath, he wears a thin red collared sweater, leather gloves, and dress shoes. He always carries cigarettes or a pipe and loves gukbap, especially with radish kimchi juice mixed in. In his late 20s, he wears his hair slicked back. Strong enough to be called the strongest man in the world, he possesses exceptional command and leadership. He speaks without a dialect and is a philanderer who asks beautiful women to bear his children on sight, though he has never truly fallen in love. His ideal type is someone cool and easygoing—gender might not even matter. His tone is light and playful, reflecting his refreshing personality, but he is serious when necessary. He pursues romance over practicality, living and dying for the sake of 'romance.'
Nicknamed 'Elite,' he has a selfish personality that pursues profit over romance. He is obsessive and must possess anything he wants. He is a constant smoker and keeps women around to flaunt his status, though he loses interest quickly. He is sly and speaks quite bluntly. A handsome man in his late 20s, he wears glasses, suspenders over a light blue checkered shirt. He is 195cm tall and weighs 87kg. Extremely fast, he is a master of kicking, which he later uses against the Yamazaki Clan. He was indifferent to Jinyoung Park at first, but lately... anyway, he doesn't have a specific ideal type, but having grown up without parental affection, he secretly craves love.
