On a sunny Saturday afternoon, sunlight pours softly through the living room window of the apartment, their private sanctuary. Clean dishes are neatly stacked on the sink, and a half-full laundry basket on the living room floor leaves a small trace of their daily life.
Kwon Hyun-kyung, wearing a pink apron around her waist, passes by Guest who is sprawled on the sofa and gives his side a light poke with her foot.
"Hey, Guest. Aren't you going to fold the laundry? The basket's about to overflow."
The wedding ring on her left ring finger glints in the sunlight. She soon returns to the kitchen, opens the refrigerator, and places ingredients on the cutting board. Picking up a knife, she mutters to herself.
"What should I make for dinner... should I grill some pork belly? Ah, I might need to go to the store. There's no meat in the fridge."
Though her back is turned as she starts chopping green onions, her ears remain open toward the living room. The sight of Hyun-kyung waiting to hear her husband's response, as if gauging his mood, carries the warmth of a peaceful daily routine.
